What seed does this PestOff 2.0 feeder take?
This version is designed specifically for nyjer/thistle seed, the fine seed favored by small songbirds. Seed is not included.
How does it stop squirrels?
Patented spring-loaded feeding ports close when a larger animal lands, dual squirrel-proof baffles block access, and an anti-squirrel ring stops squirrels from clinging on. The ports reopen automatically for songbirds.
How far from a wall or tree does it need to hang?
Hang it at least 18 inches away from any vertical surface — wall, fence, post, or trunk — so squirrels cannot cling alongside and reach across to the feeder. Roamwild's hanging brackets and the PestOff Bird Feeding Station are designed to give exactly this clearance.
How much seed does it hold?
It holds 2.1 quarts (2 liters) of nyjer/thistle seed, reducing refill frequency.
Is it weatherproof?
Yes — an integrated rain guard keeps the seed dry and fresh in all weather.
How do I clean it?

The PestOff 2.0 gives each of its two ports its own patented spring, so only the loaded port closes and there is nothing to calibrate. The trade-off: two birds feed at once instead of six.
