Mix 1 part plain white sugar with 4 parts water — no red dye, no honey, and no sugar substitutes, which can harm hummingbirds. Let it cool before filling.
How often should I change the nectar?
Every 1–2 days in hot weather (daily above 90°F) and every 2–3 days in cooler conditions, rinsing the feeder at each change. The built-in UV sunshade shields the nectar from sun and rain to slow spoilage between changes.
Is it easy to clean?
Yes — it opens simply for cleaning, encouraging the regular maintenance hummingbirds need.
